Don't Fall For It

Some of you may get phone calls asking for donations for Phoenix Police or Phoenix Fire. These are not legitimate! If you want to know how to donate to benefit officers or fire fighters contact the departments directly and they will be able to tell you but don't fall for a phone scam!

5 Tips for Monsoon Safety from APS

Untitled Document Untitled Document Untitled Document Untitled Document

    1. Plan ahead by creating an emergency supply kit that includes non-perishable food items, water, a first-aid kit, a battery-operated radio, flashlights, extra batteries and any necessary medications.

    2. Be aware of the difference between a monsoon watch and warning. A watch means conditions are indicating severe weather. A warning means severe weather is about to occur or has already occurred.

    3. When a storm is approaching, avoid using computers or wired video games. Don’t touch household wiring if you can hear thunder.

    4. If you see a downed line, stay at least 100 feet away and immediately call 911, then call us at (855) 688-2437.

    5. Stay connected during outages by downloading our free mobile app or by visiting aps.com/outages.
